Who has access to the MOC Directory?

All MedEdPORTAL services, including the MOC Directory, are available at no charge to the general public around the globe.

Does the AAMC charge for access to the MOC Directory?

The AAMC does not charge the end user; however, the institution or education provider supporting the MOC activity may have a registration fee.

Are there fees associated with registering and completing online MOC activities?

Individual CME providers may charge a registration fee to the end user for completion of the online MOC activities. Registration fees to complete the activity are paid directly to the CME providers.

Does the MOC Directory include face-to-face activities not available online?

No, the MOC Directory lists only MOC activities that are available for completion in their entirety through the online learning format.

Does the MOC Directory include online activities available in foreign languages?

At this time, MOC activities listed in the MOC Directory are available in English only.

As a CME provider, how can I submit my CME activities to the MOC Directory?

Interested CME providers should review the ABMS MOC Submission form and Self-Assessment Criteria and complete the web-based submission form.

Is there a fee for submitting online CME activities to the MOC Directory?

At this time (February 2016) the ABMS MOC Directory welcomes MOC submissions from the CME Community at no charge.

Why would CME providers want to submit their online CME activities to the MOC Directory?

The MOC Directory is a single repository of MOC approved activities across the Member Boards Community. Through a common submission form CME providers can seek MOC approvals from multiple ABMS Member Boards. The MOC Directory improves the alignment between ABMS Member Boards and the CME Community, and advances the adoption of MOC Activities that integrate each of the ABMS Core Competencies.

Why would an ABMS Diplomate utilize the MOC Directory?

The MOC Directory improves the diplomate experience with MOC and increases access to relevant web-based MOC Part II and MOC Part IV Activities. Diplomates are able to quickly search, find, and access high quality accredited MOC activities that have been approved by one or more ABMS Member Boards.
