DREAM is a collection within MedEdPORTAL Publications that provides need-to-know information about assessment instruments that have been studied in health sciences education. The Collection contains a Critical Synthesis Package for each instrument featuring:
- a copy of the instrument;
- a peer-reviewed critical analysis highlighting how the instrument has been administered and reviewing the validity evidence related to responses on the instrument; and
- supplementary materials for administering the instrument, if available.

Introducing the Index of Health Professions Education Assessment
Researchers from the DREAM team and the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) have collaborated to catalogue instruments from an extensive systematic review of the assessment literature in medical education. The IHPEA provides you with citations for studies in which assessment instruments have been used. Instruments are sorted by competency and the availability of validity evidence.
