Basic surgical skills are essential skills during graduate medical education. This booklet will assist students to understand basic principles of suturing as well as help them to practice these skills. The common surgical skills have been described in detail and stepwise for easy understanding and practice. Photographs assist students and postgraduates to practice better.

This booklet will assist students in not only understanding surgical skills in stepwise manner but will also helping them to practice independently. Photographs and simple step wise approach will make the practice easy. Therefore, the booklet can be useful for improving skills.
