IPEC Institute Faculty Development Conferences

The Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) sponsored the development of four core competencies for interprofessional collaborative practice and hosts two team-based faculty development institutes a year for teams to identify an institutionally based project and develop an implementation plan to imbed interprofessional education within their health professions schools. LGBT & DSD-affected Patient Care

In 2007, the Association of American Medical Colleges Executive Council approved recommendations of the Group on Student Affairs and Organization of Student Representatives regarding “Institutional Programs and Educational Activities to Address the Needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT), and Differences of Sex Development (DSD) Students and Patients." Recommendations were made to facilitate better care and treatment of patients. Read More

Pre-health

The AAMC is supporting the development of a collection of instructional resources for pre-health competencies to support faculty and institutions considering changes to the curriculum. The goal is to ensure that free resources related to the pre-health competencies are widely available – particularly to those institutions that are under-resourced. By making these resources available to faculty, they will be more broadly available to students preparing for a career in health or medicine. Read More
