Dr. Maria Blanco (faculty development) began her role as a MedEdPORTAL associate editor in 2012, managing the peer review of 32 submissions and issuing recommendations that have led to 24 publications. Dr. Blanco is timely, enthusiastic, and incisive in her fulfillment of the standard associate editor duties, but has also gone the extra mile by serving as a true mentor to authors, providing countless hours of guidance and support in preparing complex submissions. Her intelligence, helpfulness, friendliness, energy, input, and dedication is felt by authors and staff, and has unquestionably contributed to the ongoing success of MedEdPORTAL.

Hugh Stoddard Hugh Stoddard, MEd, PhD

Hugh Stoddard (assessment) began his role as a MedEdPORTAL associate editor in 2014, managing the peer review of 13 submissions and issuing recommendations that have led to 11 publications. As part of this role, Dr. Stoddard helped refine the requirements and expectations of assessment submissions, and has participated in several high-level discussions with the editor-in-chief and editorial board on major issues that have shaped the editorial direction of our publication. Before Dr. Stoddard began his term as an associate editor, he authored three high-quality publications and served as a long-time peer reviewer. Dr. Stoddard brings a depth of knowledge, thoroughness, and thoughtfulness to the position greatly appreciated by editorial staff and authors alike.
